President Rivlin delivered a message during a ZOOM ceremony to graduates of Efrata, a teachers' college in Jerusalem.
"Due to the difficulties presented by the coronavirus, an entire generation of students may be left behind as the gap between stronger and weaker students may increase," Rivlin said.
"We believe that it is within your power as teachers to ensure a promising future for all of our students," Rivlin added.
