Speaking at today's meeting of the coronavirus cabinet, outgoing coronavirus project manager Prof. Ronni Gamzu noted that the rate of infection in the haredi community appears to be rising.
"There appears to be an emerging trend of a rise in the infection rate in the haredi sector," Gamzu said. "Ronni Numa [the project manager for the haredi sector] is closely monitoring the situation. It appears that the R rate is currently around 0.8 which means that we have to keep a close eye on what's going on there, and step up testing too."
