Defense Minister Benny Gantz, currently on a security-related visit to Cyprus along with the Defense Ministers of Cyprus and Greece, has been in discussion with his fellow Blue & White ministers in advance of today's meeting of the coronavirus cabinet.

Gantz has reportedly instructed them to vote in favor of raising fines for breach of lockdown regulations, as was agreed upon during the previous meeting of the coronavirus cabinet. He also told his party's ministers to vote in favor of imposing more closures on "red" areas, and to work toward the reopening of more classes in schools and of the economy in "green" areas.

Gantz has also agreed with his party's ministers that at the present moment, there seems to be no justification for imposing night-time curfews, and that they will oppose such a move.
