According to a report on Kan News, the Jerusalem Municipality has authorized the construction of 108 housing units in the "east Jerusalem" neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo. (Ramat Shlomo is in fact to the north of Jerusalem, but lies across the "Green Line.")
During the visit of then-Vice President Joe Biden to Israel, a similar announcement of construction plans for Ramat Shlomo led to a rift between the Israeli government and the Obama administration.
