The ITIM organization that advocates liberalization of Jewish practices and traditions has publicly rued the decision of the Chief Rabbinate not to allow women to sit for rabbinical exams.
Chairman of ITIM Rabbi Shaul Farber reacted to the decision as follows: "Unfortunately, the Chief Rabbinate again chooses to oppose opening wide the study hall gates and ignores the Torah's flowering that is happening before our eyes."
