Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel is reporting that a 17-year-old youth hospitalized last week in critical condition has regained conscious and is now off the ECMO machine.
It appears the teen had been sick with the coronavirus in the past, and the recent situation came following a deterioration in his condition.
The teen has been transferred to the Assuta Medical Center in Ashdod for further treatment.
