Jonathan Hoffman, a spokesman from the Pentagon, has denied the veracity of a report on the NBC News network claiming that the U.S. Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper, is about to resign due to differences of opinion with President Donald Trump.
"Defense Secretary Esper is not planning to resign and has no intention of announcing such a plan to anyone," Hoffman wrote on his personal Twitter account. "He will continue to serve the country as Defense Secretary."
