Raz Nezri, the deputy attorney-general, insisted today that the final word in legislative matters should remain with the Knesset.
"We're doing our job - which is, to assist the government," he told Kan Bet. "But the last word has to be with the Knesset. We deal with people's rights, but in a democratic country, it's the Knesset that rules as the representatives of the people."
