Japan tops 100,000 coronavirus cases

Japan has reported 712 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Japan now has a total of more than 100,000 cases, of which around 31,000 are in the capital city of Tokyo.

The death toll to date has topped 1,700.
