United States ambassador to Israel David Friedman said in an interview with the Friends of Tel Aviv University that "there is no Palestininan leadership, no one to shake hands with."
"The Palestinians need to cease the narrative that they are victims. This narrative served them well for generations but those days have come to and end," Friedman added.
