London is to move into Tier 2 at midnight on Friday, with stricter restrictions placed on the capital city.
What this means in practice is that people from more than a single household may not gather in an enclosed space. Use of public transportation is discouraged. Schools, higher education, and places of worship will remain open, as will businesses and venues.
