Fifty-five senior Israeli jurists have written a letter to the prime minister, minister of education, and attorney general protesting the proposal to send ultra-orthodox boys back to school before girls.
Ultra-orthodox boys and girls attend separate schools, but the jurists maintain that this proposal violates the principle of equal rights.
