The Ministry of Health released an update that 1,618 new coronavirus infections were confirmed yesterday out of 23,032 individuals tested.
The number of patients in critical condition stands at 827, with 227 on ventilators.
Since the beginning of the crisis, 2,016 virus patients have died in Israel.
