Deputy Attorney General Raz Nizri responded to the harsh words of MK Ayelet Shaked, who demanded that weddings be allowed with a gathering limit of 20 people even beyond the kilometer limit.
"The situation in which a gathering of 20 people is allowed but in practice is forbidden due to the distance restriction does not make sense. On the other hand, the current language of the law does not allow it in explicit language. This needs to be corrected.
"The issue of non-enforcement should reach the level of the ombudsman for the government and we will examine this. It's crooked and it doesn't make sense, but regarding how to change it, whether in law or in non-enforcement we will examine today."
