A police officer manning a speed enforcement device on Route 65 in the north area noticed a group of motorcycles and ATVs moving wildly in his direction with some without helmets and without license plates.
When they stopped in a nearby parking lot, the policeman arrived with the car and the group began to flee the area. One of the riders who tried to escape lost control of the motorcycle and skidded, after traveling against traffic towards the police car while popping a wheelie.
The rider was arrested and did not need medical attention. Investigation revealed that the rider, who was without a helmet, a resident of Sakhnin, born in 1997, was never issued a motorcycle driver's license. He was arrested for questioning and the motorcycle was immediately impounded for 30 days.
At the end of the investigation, he was released under house arrest with a summons to court for a speedy trial.
