Acting Police Commissioner Moti Cohen this morning, in assessing the situation, addressed last night's disturbances.
"The role of the police in a democracy is to enforce the provisions of the law and the Knesset, even when they do not have full support among the entire public and even when they are not to the taste or spirit of its violators. Unfortunately, there are those who break the law and do not obey the instructions of the police, we will not turn a blind eye to blatant violations of the law, in protests or anywhere else."
