After appearing to refuse to issue an outright condemnation of far-right white supremacist groups at the first presidential debate held between himself and Democratic contender Joe Biden, President Trump partially walked back a comment he did make during the debate.

"I don't know who the Proud Boys are," Trump said yesterday, as quoted by the New York Times. "I can only say they have stand down, let law enforcement do their work."

During the debate, when asked to condemn far-right extremists, Trump had responded: "Proud Boys - stand back and stand by."
