The Israel Tax Authority has transferred NIS 195 million to the bank accounts of 200,000 people - both employees and the self-employed - who are eligible to receive advance employment grants for 2020.
The advance payments have been given to those who were also eligible for grants in 2019 and amount to 25% of the grant then paid out. The money will appear in the recipients' bank accounts on Friday and will be available on Sunday.
The advance payments come at the expense of the supplement to the employment grant which was approved yesterday in the Knesset to the amount of 62% of the amount for the months of April to December 2019, set at a minimum sum of one thousand shekels.
