    8 years' prison for Arab driver who caused 2 deaths in 2016

    Jihad Salah of Nahariya has been sentenced to eight years in prison for causing the deaths of Rachela and Assaf Katz in a road collision in 2016.

    The collision occurred on Road 89 in the north of the country. Assaf Katz, aged 42, of Ginaton, was killed, along with his 81-year-old mother Rachela, from Haifa.

    Salah was found guilty of reckless manslaughter and driving under the influence of illicit substances.
