Miriam Levinger was eulogized as "the mother of Judea and Samaria settlements" by Benny Katzover, one of the earliest settlement activists.
"She demonstrated unlimited devotion, night and day, to the settlement enterprise beginning in 1968. She set the highest standard and women who witnessed her personal example were embarrassed regarding any personal problems they might have had in the light of her ceaseless dedication," Katzover said in an interview with Arutz Sheva.
"Her profession was that of a nurse and she treated everyone who came to her for help, including soldiers in the area who learned of her expertise," Katzover added.
