Minister of Defense Benny Gantz has issued a call to leave the army and the police out of political debates.
"I strongly oppose the attempt to attack the army and the police even as they perform their duties. At the same time, posting IDF troops next to public protests is a mistake that has been addressed and will not happen again," Gantz declared.
