A leftist demonstrator rebuked a soldier who was guarding the Knesset together with police.
"Why are you wearing a police vest if you are in the army, aren't you ashamed?" the protester asked in a video that was widely displayed on social media.
An army spokesperson responded to the video as follows: "The IDF condemns any harmful attack or crass behavior towards its soldiers assisting the police. Army activity is being carried out in conjunction with the government's efforts undertaken to cope with the coronavrius."
