Coalition head MK Miki Zohar (Likud) has doubled down on statements he made yesterday, insisting that the left wing actively wants the epidemic to continue to rage, in its desire to "see anarchy reign" in Israel.

Today he said that the political opposition is also seeking to see the epidemic continue to rage, and therefore is promoting a continuation of political protests against the government and the Prime Minister.

"The opposition has decided to prevent us from passing a law that will prevent protests from being held during the lockdown," he said. "61 people died yesterday [from coronavirus] and today we have another 7,500 new cases, but the opposition continues to promote anarchy via protests and demonstrations in order to ensure that the epidemic continues to spread. We will not be able to enforce the lockdown in the coming days and the plague will continue to rage," he added.
