Religious Affairs Minister Rabbi Yaakov Avitan has stated his opposition to permitting protests to continue during the lockdown period.
"Protesting is not part of our tradition in Jewish law or history," he told the Knesset Channel. "Prayer, however, is. We are the Jewish People, and our Jewish identity is what's important."
