Bahraini security services say they have thwarted a mass terrorists attack by Iran.
Spokesmen for the service say the Islamic Republic planned the attack following Bahrain's peace agreement with Israel as revenge for the assassination of Quds Forces commander Qasem Soleimani.
According to sources familiar with the situation, Iran had planted a team of its agents within the kingdom.
This team was to create a terrorist organization and carry out mass attacks against senior government officials.
Nine of these were able to escape after having their plans discovered, while a number of the others have been arrested. Explosive devices were found at the home of one of the agents.
