The head of the Knesset's Education Committee, MK Ram Shefa (Blue & White) expressed his hope that the damage done to the education system if a nationwide lockdown is imposed will be minimized.
"When we weigh the need to protect the health of citizens with social and economic needs, we have to remember the heavy price that is paid by our students when schooling is shut down," he said. "Closing schools is disastrous for the nation's children, and therefore I hope very much that the government will keep school closures to a minimum."
