The Movement for Quality Governance has submitted an inquiry to Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein, asking them to clarify that restrictions on movement during the upcoming lockdown period will not apply to those heading to demonstrations.
"Every attempt to restrict protests against the government will be viewed by the general public as an attempt to weaken the protests and silence the protesters," they stated. "Therefore, everything possible must be done to protect the right to protest. We turn to you with the request that you clarify that the lockdown regulations will not include any restriction on the freedom to demonstrate, and that any attempt to restrict protests will be struck down as illegal."
