Ahead of the dramatic debate in the government that is expected to decide on the closure in the coming hours, Histadrut Chairman Arnon Bar-David addressed the issue and called on ministers to seriously consider their decision.
"The decision on a general and strict closure, while there are other alternatives that allow control of the outbreak, is an ax blow to the Israeli economy. What message does it send to the public if people are locked in their homes, even in places where morbidity is controlled? That's not how you learn to live with coronavirus."
