According to updated figures from the Health Ministry, 3,150 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in the last day.
There are now 23,938 active cases of the virus in the country. 426 people are in serious condition, of whom 124 are on ventilators.
The death toll dating from the outbreak of the epidemic now stands at 976 people.
