At Rambam Hospital in Haifa, the death of a 50-year-old resident of Beit Jann, who was hit by a vehicle during his work as a traffic inspector at a work site on Route 70 near Yagur Junction was determined.
A 40-year-old man was also seriously injured in the accident. Two occupants of the offending vehicle were lightly injured.
