MK Mtanes Shihadeh (Joint List) has heaped criticism on the "traffic light" plan developed by Prof. Ronni Gamzu, the government's coronavirus project manager, alleging that it fails to take into account the unique characteristics of Arab society, unfairly discriminating against Arabs.

"Gamzu's plan is headed for failure," he said. "It makes no provision for the unique nature of Arab society, and fails to take into account that there is a critical lack of sufficient tests and epidemiological studies in the Arab sector. Neither do we have the tools needed for enforcement. Furthermore, Arab communities tend to have a higher population density. Without necessary adjustments to the plan, it simply will not work," he concluded.
