On the occasion of the departure of an Israeli delegation to the United Arab Emirates this morning, Defense Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz stated that, "We are living in historic times. After years of efforts and laying the foundations, there is now a real hope of attaining peace."
Speaking with members of the Israeli delegation, Gantz added, "You have been granted the historic merit of taking part in this great event and representing the Israeli people. We look to you with the hope that you will be the instruments of achieving real peace. There are many areas in which we can collaborate with the Emirates - on the diplomatic, agricultural, scientific, medical, cultural fronts - and I wish you all the best of success."
