Two people have been issued fines of £10,000 for organizing mass gatherings (raves) in the United Kingdom that attracted an estimated 3,000 people, The Guardian reports.
New laws imposing stiff fines were recently passed, due to a spike in the number of mass events being held. Police received dozens of reports of such mass events attracting thousands over the past weekend.
