According to updated figures from the Health Ministry, 897 new coronavirus carriers were diagnosed yesterday, and a further 429 from midnight.
There are currently 444 seriously ill patients in the country's hospitals, of whom 127 are on ventilators.
The death toll from the outbreak of the epidemic has risen to 919 people.
