Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has reached an agreement with Finance Minister Israel Katz, in coordination with Welfare Minister Itzik Shmuli, to allocate NIS 10 million to the Welfare Ministry toward treatment for female victims of violence who are housed in shelters, along with their children.
The budget was approved by the government, as part of the most recent economic plan approved. Among other items, each of the country's 14 shelters will be allotted a one-time sum of NIS 300,000, funding will be provided for the purchase of 1,000 computers for the women to use, and for renovations to the shelters.
