Police on Sunday arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion that he incited to violence against police officers.
The suspect, a resident of Holon, has admitted to posting incitement against police officers online, and expressed regret for his actions. Following the interrogation, he was released on bail.
"Recently, we are witness to things being published and spread on various social media which call on the public to harm police officers for fulfilling their duty," a police spokesperson said. "As such, several weeks ago a notice was published on social media which among other things said that it was time to start harming police officers."
