Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn (Blue & White) has offered cautious approval of the Supreme Court's decision to have Mitzpeh Kramim razed, noting however that those living there established the community in good faith.
"This Supreme Court decision marks the first time that the principle of market regulation is being adopted, and this will hopefully enable hundreds of homes in Judea and Samaria to be regularized. I welcome that. Nonetheless, this is a very hard ruling for the residents of Mitzpeh Kramim who established their community with the belief that the land had been occupied by the army," he noted.
"Therefore," he continued, "I intend to contact the Attorney General and ask him to consider filing a request for a further hearing. Of course, any Supreme Court decision must be respected, and I strongly reject all attacks against this important institution, which is a cornerstone of our democracy," he added.
