In light of the number of recent Palestinian incursions into state-owned territories, MK Nir Barkat has appealed to Brigadier General Rassan Aliyan, the head of the Judea and Samaria Civil Administration, to take a strong, swift, and effective action to reduce the invasions.
In his letter, Barkat wrote that, "In any situation in which there is no enforcement regarding the removal of infiltrators, it inevitably leads to a violation of state sovereignty, and also impedes the future planning and implementation of development of Judea and Samaria."
