The state prosecution has submitted a request to the Supreme Court to hold an additional hearing regarding its ruling forbidding the demolition of the home of a terrorist convicted of a terror attack committed in May of this year, which caused the death of IDF soldier Amit Ben Yigal.

The request was submitted due to the intervention of the Prime Minister and Defense Minister, and with the knowledge of the Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit.

It asks that the minority opinion be given additional weight, since the majority view of the Justices deviates significantly from previous cases on similar matters, in which the Court ruled that it was not necessary to prove the involvement of family members in the terror attack in order to authorize the demolition.
