The Tax Authority has sent out around 115,000 text messages to people likely to be eligible for a government grant for 2019 for both employees and the self-employed who earn between NIS 1,290 and NIS 11,650 per month.
Around 165,000 people have already applied and have had their requests approved. The average sum paid out to individuals is around NIS 3,700 and can reach NIS 8,820 in certain cases.
