Speaking on Galei Tzahal this morning, coalition chairman MK Miki Zohar (Likud) said that continuing to conduct political business in the manner in which it has been conducted until now is not a viable option.

"If we can't find a way to sit with Blue & White and come to agreements with them on the continued functioning of the government, then there is absolutely no point in continuing with this government," he said. "If you want my opinion, I can tell you that in 120 days, there will be new elections."

Zohar was referring to the 120 days' reprieve for passing the 2020 budget, which was passed into law in last night's Knesset session, thus narrowly averting elections being called now.

"The members of the Blue & White party, including [party head Benny] Gantz and [Justice Minister Avi] Nissenkorn attack the Prime Minister on a daily basis," Zohar added. "If they really want to cooperate, we have to put an end to this ongoing atmosphere of attacks. When did Netanyahu ever talk about Gantz in the way in which Gantz and his party allow themselves to talk about him?"
