Speaking on Galei Tzahal this morning, Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn (Blue & White) insisted that "there will be no politicization of appointments."

When he was asked point-blank whether he trusted Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to keep his promise not to meddle in the appointments of the police commissioner and state attorney, Nissenkorn replied that, "What the Prime Minister related to was a relatively trivial matter, although of course we have to make sure that what he said is what actually happens. We all agree that the committee for making the appointments should be allowed to convene, but we hope that the government will be focused primarily on tackling the coronavirus crisis and the rehabilitation of the economy."
