Transportation Minister Miri Regev (Likud) has called on the chair of the Blue & White party, Benny Gantz, to follow the example of the Prime Minister and announce his support for the proposal of MK Hauser to postpone the final date by which the 2020 budget must be passed.
"Prime Minister Netanyahu proved yet again tonight that he is a responsible leader," she said. "His statement stands in stark contrast to the recent behavior of the Blue & White party which conducted itself as a 'government within the government' and almost pushed us to the brink of elections. Netanyahu chose to accept Hauser's proposal in order to avoid elections, and in order to continue to act for the welfare of the citizens of Israel. I call on Benny Gantz to respond immediately and likewise accept the proposed legislation, thereby avoiding these unnecessary elections."
