Tourism Minister Assaf Zamir (Blue & White) insists that his party is not afraid of facing the electorate, but still expressed his hope that the actions of Prime Minister Netanyahu will not make them inevitable.

"We are not afraid of elections - but the point is that they would be terrible for the country right now," he said. "If we were scared of facing the electorate we would have given way on the budget issue; we would have forgone political appointments. But we will not give in, because we want to do what's right and best for the country. I hope that Netanyahu and the Likud will focus on the welfare of the people rather than their own welfare. It's still not too late," he added.
