The United Arab Emirates ambassador in Washington, Yousef Al Otaiba, has directly addressed Israeli citizens via an article that was published in this morning's Yediot Aharonot.
"Shalom aleichem, Salaam alaikum," he greeted his readers. "We have opened a gateway into a better future for the Middle East. We have shut the door on annexation, and created a new dynamic in the peace process. This is a significant diplomatic success for all the nations of the region."
