The government's coronavirus cabinet is expected to convene this afternoon in order to discuss several critical issues and reach decisions on necessary steps to be taken. The government's coronavirus project manager, Prof. Ronni Gamzu, will present a new program entitled "Heightened restrictions" that is designed to significantly decrease the rate of contagion while avoiding imposing a full lockdown.
The program is expected to focus on so-called "red zones," mainly in the Arab and haredi sectors, to bring down the number of virus carriers swiftly and decisively.
