The director of the Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Jamal al-Musharakh, spoke with Kan News to discuss reports that the United States is considering selling F-35 jets to the UAE, within the framework of the latter's peace agreement with Israel. Israel's Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, has denied the veracity of the reports, claiming they are "left-wing fake news."

"Security and military affairs will be dealt with between the United States, Israel, and ourselves," al-Musharakh said. "I am not able to comment on this topic at the present time."

Asked to comment on the normalization agreement with Israel, al-Musharakh said, "This came at the conclusion of a process of opening up to Israel; the United Arab Emirates is based on tolerance and co-existence."
