Head of the Gush Etzion council, Shlomo Ne'eman, has paid tribute to former MK Gershon Shafat obm, one of the founders of Gush Etzion.
"Gershon Shafat z"l was one of the leaders of Gush Emunim and one of the founders of Gush Etzion," he said. "In the eyes of many, he was a representative of the generation of fighters and builders. Gershon laid the foundations for Gush Etzion and we continue to build upon them, to grow and thrive as was his dream."
