MK Ayelet Shaked (Yamina) has paid tribute to former MK Gershon Shafat obm.
"Gershon Shafat was from a generation of giants," she said. "He was a man who believed in the integrity of the Land of Israel, in the values of the Jewish People, and in drawing people closer [to those values]. Shafat supported the 'New Right' party as an expression of his worldview, and throughout his life he endeavored to bring religious and secular closer. I send my condolences to his family. May his memory be for a blessing."
