Referring to the latest economic statistics released today, opposition head MK Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid-Telem) blasted the government for its handling of the ongoing crisis.
"The severe recession that Israel is entering is not something that was decided by fate. Every single country in the world has been affected by the coronavirus," he said. "The disparity we see in the statistics is a sign of the decisive failure of Netanyahu in his handling of the crisis. We are on the road to disaster. People are losing their homes, their businesses, their workplaces. We need a small, effective government that knows how to deal with this economic crisis. Our eight-point plan is the only solution before everything collapses."
